Summary : This study aims to identify a milestone in the edifice of Algerian culture and creativity and a pioneer of literary criticism in Algeria who has a distinguished critical contribution in criticizing the Algerian short story and defining it, namely "Abdullah Rakibi", as he studied with great interest the development of this literary genre and prepares its study.
