Its topics vary between political, social, and religious. The joke usually criticizes these topics with harsh criticism in a funny, humorous form that has been passed down through the generations and thus gained a place in local and international literature by observing examples. Different, as stated in the book Al-Mustadrif fi Kul Fan Al-Mustadharif by Shihab Al-Din Al-Abshihi, who detailed in the seventy-fifth chapter on joking and the seventy-sixth chapter on anecdotes, where he established in joking its legitimacy in Islamic jurisprudence and searched for its ruling and controls that were established and the anecdotes that it included.
