    Abstract The Algerian novel written in the French language represents a significant cultural and linguistic shift in Algerian literature and Arab literature in general. Its beginnings emerged during the period of French colonization in Algeria, where French was the dominant language. The Algerian novel in French emerged as a means of resistance against colonization and shedding light on Algerian life experiences and identity. Algerian writers utilized it to convey their messages and experiences to the outside world, highlighting issues such as colonial oppression, its dirty policies of impoverishing and starving the Algerian people, and attempts to integrate Algeria into France ملخص تمثل الرواية الجزائرية المكتوبة باللغة الفرنسية تحولًا ثقافيًا ولغويًا هامًا في الأدب الجزائري والعربي عمومًا، تشكلت بداياتها الأولى في فترة تواجد الاستعمار الفرنسي بالجزائر، حيث كانت اللغة الفرنسية اللغة المهيمنة. برزت الرواية الجزائرية باللغة الفرنسية كوسيلة لمقاومة الاستعمار وتسليط الضوء على تجارب الحياة والهوية الجزائرية، حيث استغلها الكتاب الجزائريون لنقل رسائلهم وتجاربهم إلى العالم الخارجي، فسلطت الضوء على قضايا مثل الظلم الاستعماري، وسياساته القذرة في تجويع وتفقير الشعب الجزائري، ومحاولة إدماج الجزائر بفرنسا.
