    Summary This study examines, through description and analysis, the ideological dimension in the story "The Martyrs Return This Week" by Tahar Wattar. The author addressed the harsh reality of the Algerian people during the colonial period using objective socialist perspectives. He placed his story in two dimensions: artistic and political. In the context of the ideological dimension, the author was able to portray the true situation of the Algerian society, which suffered from exploitation, greed, gains, and privileges at the expense of the sacrifices and departure of the martyrs. الملخص: هذه الدراسة تتناول بالوصف والتحليل البعد الأيديولوجي في قصة "الشهداء يعودون هذا الأسبوع" لــــــ "الطاهر وطار" التي عالج فيها واقع الشعب الجزائري المرير وفق رؤى موضوعية اشتراكية إبان فترة الاستعمار حيث وضع قصته بين بعدين: البعد الفني والبعد السياسي، في إطار البعد الأيديولوجي فكان الكاتب قادرا على تصوير الحالة الحقيقية التي وصل إليها المجتمع الجزائري من استغلال وطمع ومكاسب وامتيازات من وراء تضحيات الشهداء ورحيلهم.
