    Investigating the Early English Learners’ Oral Speech Production: A Case Study of 5th Grade Pupils at Bouaaza Ahmed Primary School- Mssamda- Maghnia.

    The current research aims to find out the challenges of English oral speech production encountered by 5th grade students at ‘BOUAAZA AHMED’ primary school during the academic year 2024-2025.Oral language development is a critical component of second language acquisition, particularly in the early stages of learning. This investigation has been conducted by using a mixed- methods approach. Additionally, to answer the research questions and test the hypotheses stated in this study; the researcher has used three data collection tools. First, a questionnaire was administered to early English learners; second, two different interviews were conducted, one with English teachers and another one with students; third, a classroom observation was carried out in order to explore the obstacles faced by primary school pupils when practising English orally. The study identifies key obstacles such as pronunciation and articulation difficulties, limited vocabulary, fear of making mistakes, anxiety. In this vein, after collecting the data and analyzing the results, the researcher confirmed the research hypotheses and answered all the research questions. To sum up, the findings reveal that English pronunciation and articulation are the main challenges faced by early learners of English. الملخص يهدف البحث الحالي إلى اكتشاف التحديات التي يواجهها تلاميذ السنة الخامسة ابتدائي في إنتاج الكلام الشفوي باللغة الإنجليزية في مدرسة "بوعزة أحمد" الابتدائية خلال العام الدراسي 2024-2025. يُعد تطور اللغة الشفوية مكونًا حاسمًا في اكتساب اللغة الثانية، خاصة في المراحل المبكرة من التعلم. لقد تم إجراء هذا البحث باستخدام منهجية مختلطة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، للإجابة عن أسئلة البحث واختبار الفرضيات المذكورة في هذه الدراسة، استخدم الباحث ثلاث أدوات لجمع البيانات: 1. تم تطبيق استبيان على متعلمي اللغة الإإنجليزية المبتدئين. 2. أُجريت مقابلتان مختلفتان: إحداهما مع أساتذة اللغة الإنجليزية والأخرى مع التلاميذ. 3. أُجريت ملاحظة صفية لاستكشاف العقبات التي يواجهها تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية عند ممارسة اللغة الإنجليزية شفوياً. تحدد الدراسة العقبات الرئيسية مثل صعوبات النطق والمخارج الصوتية، والمفردات المحدودة، والخوف من ارتكاب الأخطاء، والقلق. في هذا الصدد، بعد جمع البيانات وتحليل النتائج، أكد الباحث فرضيات البحث وأجاب عن جميع أسئلة البحث. خلاصة القول، تكشف النتائج أن النطق والمخارج الصوتية للغة الإنجليزية هما التحديان الرئيسيان اللذان يواجهان متعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية المبتدئين.
