This dissertation investigates the attitudes of second-year EFL learners at Bouazza Miloud Secondary School in Maghnia towards the use of the Duolingo application for vocabulary learning. The study aimed to explore how learners perceive the usefulness, ease of use, and motivational aspects of Duolingo in enhancing their English vocabulary. Using a combination of questionnaires and interviews, the findings revealed that the majority of learners held positive attitudes toward Duolingo. They found it enjoyable, accessible, and effective in supporting vocabulary retention and daily use. The research concludes that integrating mobile applications like Duolingo into EFL classrooms can significantly increase learners’ motivation and engagement in vocabulary learning 2. Arabic Summary

الملخص باللغة العربية تتناول هذه المذكرة مواقف تلاميذ السنة الثانية من التعليم الثانوي في ثانوية بوعزة ميلود بمغنية تجاه استخدام تطبيق دولينغو في تعلم المفردات الإنجليزية. وتهدف الدراسة إلى استكشاف مدى إدراك التلاميذ لفائدة التطبيق، وسهولة استخدامه، وجوانبه التحفيزية في تحسين حصيلتهم اللغوية. من خلال استخدام الاستبيانات والمقابلات، أظهرت النتائج أن غالبية التلاميذ لديهم مواقف إيجابية تجاه التطبيق، حيث اعتبروه ممتعًا، سهل الاستخدام، وفعّالًا في ترسيخ المفردات واستعمالها اليومي. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن دمج التطبيقات التعليمية مثل Duolingo في أقسام اللغة الإنجليزية يمكن أن يعزز بشكل كبير من دافعية التلاميذ وانخراطهم في تعلم المفردات.
